Teenager, he expressed his thirst for esthetics and his personal visions with a silver reflex camera and the black and white laboratory invented in the bathroom.
Thereafter, its professional life, centered on the music, drew him aside for a time of the photography …

In 2005, of return from a voyage in Hungary, he notes “by coincidence” that its photographs of holidays contain series on recurrent topics (port-holes, bell-towers, water) and that he is naturally and without to have envisaged it, given to use the camera at artistic ends
It is indeed at this period that he feels in the human reports/ratios a certain smothering due to a proliferation of increasingly surface codes… Like Debussy, he evolves to the relations which he establishes with nature, humble and edifying… It is there that he exerts an attentive and intuitive glance… No code, no mission, no obligation… he is as free as its spirit enables him to be and lives the present of the situations that the light, the places and the emotional loads of the elements offer to him.
It is this way the images arise, in the details of some grains of sand, or in the infinite of the horizon… spontaneously
He draws its energy in a strong and constant ambivalence rational/dream which is certainly its “trademark”, its “spark-ignition engine”… An emotion is born, becomes image, then idea, then concept, and becomes again an emotion… which he gives to share through its photographic series.

But the music remains its first passion, from where the idea to develop a concept of mixed art resulting from its reflexion on the image/sound interaction : Already at the time of its concerts - performances, set as one man shows, he projected on the back scene slides, modified by scraping of the emulsion, paintings and collage, to reinforce its music visually.
Today, he developed a concept of sound & photographic exhibition in which the music and the image are of equal value on the basis of series of 7 photographs and 7 musics presented simultaneously in the same space, where each listener-spectator will devote himself to his own “double reading”…

 During Spring 2009, he has presented as first exhibition at the Galerie des Arts in duplex withe la Médiathèque du Boulou 76 new photos associated with musics (see the "News - Exhibitions" page for planning ...) with 2 big size acquatic pictures montages .
During Fall 2009, he performs 17 installations and expositions during the Jazzèbre Jazz Festival all around Perpignan, the Roussillon, and Aude.
 
In a mixed arts concept, he also worked on a musical composition for the work “filosofic comic” of the painter michel pagnoux, used as musical background for a 3D animation clip.
In 2010, he created another filmic music background for the next 3D clip named "Kozmic Bolids 2"
He mixes his concept on intervallic harmony to his discovery of world stringed instruments as a basis for his new music compositions

For the 2010 "Fête de la Musique", during its exhibition preview at the Maison des Arts at Le Barcarès, he performs on stage with his cordophones group "Like a Starfish" and plays the musics composed for his photo exhibitions.

Then, he goes away with his Nikon, and comes back to pure creation, working on new expression modes.
The concrete result of his new work, very graphic and colorfull, is presented by the Affaires Culturelles de la Ville de Perpignan from 21 of April to 12 of June 2011 at La Poudrière -Rue Rabelais at Perpignan.

In September 2011, in the Visa Off Festival, Jacques Fulcara presents an exposition about "The Rust", this orange dress that wear the abandonned objects to shine again.
He also presents the polyptic "Flor d'Ones", a visual poetry about a flower moved by the waves, dedicated to the artist Teresa Rebull

From 2012 to 2021, he makes a wanted break in exhibitions, to dive in composition, but during this time, he always took new pictures, stayed unrevealed up to this day.

In 2022, exhibitions start again, like the one “autour du bateau” in residency at the Cpcr - Canet en Roussillon harbour
In 2023, creation of more than 50 new photos in 60x40 cm size on aluminium dibond, presented in many personal exhibitions, collective photos exhibitions, and multi-support artistic exhibitions
